CypherCrescent visits Center of Excellence, University of Benin

The quest to improve the use of software applications in delivering maximum educational benefits was the focus of the visit by the Management of CypherCrescent to the Center of Excellence in Geosciences and Petroleum Engineering, University of Benin on Friday June 6, 2014.

CypherCrescent has been steadfastly committed to driving educational excellence via the deployment of their flagship product; SEPAL Wellbore Schematics Solutions (WSS) in specialized institutes and some Nigerian Universities. The new software would be of enormous benefits to the schools, as it enables users design, report, analyze, manage and automate data from wellbore schematics.

To enhance manpower development and training in the oil and gas industry in areas of Wellbore Schematics Management and Information Preservation, CypherCrescent has donated a set of SEPAL-WSS Licenses to the Center of Excellence in Geosciences and Petroleum Engineering, University of Benin, Edo State

Making the presentation at COE, Mr. Aniekan Udo, on behalf of CypherCrescent, noted that his company believes in qualitative learning and far reaching community development services as part of her visionary drive to raising a new generation of leaders.

Mr. Aniekan also noted that CypherCrescent is taking giant strides in Petroleum Asset Management and Engineering Software Development which has seen the company attract various recognitions in this regard.
He added that, “What we presented to you today will link you to the international world as you have a great role to play in ensuring global energy sufficiency.” He promised that the social responsibility of CypherCrescent would continue to other institutes and Universities within the country.

While receiving the CypherCrescent team earlier, the Director and Professor of Petroleum Engineering, Prof. Kehinde Ladipo expressed joy at the donation. He also prayed for continuous assistance from CypherCrescent to the institute.
“There is joy in our heart for what you have done for us today. It is something that we will remember for a long time. I am certain, we will have a good relationship with CypherCrescent”, he expressed.

Also speaking at the event, Prof. Steve Oduwole, said that the gesture was very rare. He enjoined CypherCrescent to extend the gesture beyond the institute to the university at large. He opined that the materials donated would engender better performance among the students.

The staff of CypherCrescent present at the event were the Technical Marketing Lead, Mr. Aniekan Udo, Business Development Officer, Mr. Emeka Duruzor, Application Engineer, Mr Adango Hart, and Systems Engineer, Mr. Sunday Ikpe.
