Well Schematic

This SEPAL module is used to generate conceptual well completion schematic (initial), store completion schematic as deployed (final) and also manage changes to well configuration as a result of intervention over time. All these data can be queried and retrieved from the database when required.

The output from the SEPAL Well Schematic Management module is a digital well status diagram that can be queried for various engineering analyses and easily updated to capture the evolution of schematics over the life of the well.

Most times, intervention information is domiciled in personal workstation, making retrieval and analysis of the data by end users difficult. SEPAL Well Intervention module enables engineers to effectively manage well intervention data by serving as a central repository for managing these data.

Well integrity management is essential for well longevity and safeguard of maximum recovery. Integrity management is applicable to all the components that constitute the integrated production system.

SEPAL Well Integrity Management module supports visualisation of annulus pressure trends, calculation of maximum allowable annulus pressure (MAASP) and maximum allowable wellhead operating pressure (MAWOP), and the generation of well barrier schematics.

SEPAL comes pre-configured according to the NORSOK D-010 and OLF-117 guidelines, and is easily configured to a corporate standard. It supports the generation of compliance reports for governing agencies

Proper log visualisation is critical for accurate lithology and fluid interpretation. Visualisation can be in the form of log curves in depth, cross-plots, box-plots etc., from which rock quality and fluid contacts in the near-wellbore region can be determined. Since rock quality and hydrocarbon sweep at the sandface have a direct influence on well performance in terms of rates and fluid phases produced, log visualisation leading to correct interpretation becomes pivotal for the success of a WRFM strategy .

SEPAL Petrophysics module enables users to visualise full-scale log data along the wellbore in different depth references. It also allows for easy creation of markers, reservoir zonation and customised plots. Logs can also be calculated from pre-existing logs and visualised to further sharpen the understanding of reservoir rock and fluid properties. Wells and datasets are presented in hierarchical user-friendly format with tabbed views.

Geology image


Structural maps and cross-sections are useful for understanding the spatial distribution of the hydrocarbon accumulation in a reservoir. They are also useful for understanding structural elements of faults and geometry that can have a wholesale effect on reservoir performance.

SEPAL geology module allows users to easily generate and visualise top structure maps and create cross sections for their reservoirs. These annotated maps and cross-sections in conjunction with interpreted log data may provide information on reservoir dynamics including hydrocarbon sweep pattern and reservoir sweet spots important for unearthing new understanding of the reservoir integral to a successful WRM strategy.
